"MACBETH"

"David Coffee, alternately playing King Duncan, the Doctor and an Old Man, subtly differentiates his various roles with a skillful use of gesture."

Chris O'Rourke,
- TULSA THEATER EXAMINER

"A veteran of TSF, David Coffee is a jewel in the festival crown... it was delightful to watch him show his serious side as the doomed Duncan in MACBETH as well as two smaller roles.  Each character is his own individual, down to the voice and physical stature."

THE COLUMN

"While there is not a single poor performance, neither does any actor stand out above the rest.  It is an incredibly balanced cast where everyone achieves a level of naturalism rare for an Elizabethan drama.
The Trinity Shakespeare Festival's production of MACBETH is a visceral stunner filled with treachery, blood, guilt, and the full and mighty power of the Bard's words.  If you have ever wondered what it is like to be left breathless by a piece of theater, go see this one."

Punch Shaw,
- DFW.COM

"Only three years into its short existence, and yet again, Trinity Shakespeare Festival continues to provide by far the best of the Bard's work in Dallas - Fort Worth.
Firstly, the aesthetics from the team of Brian Clinnin, Michael Skinner, and Toby Jaguar Algya are phenomenal in every sense of the word.

"AS YOU LIKE IT"

"What's not to like?  The Trinity Shakespeare Festival opened Thursday night with a production of the comedy AS YOU LIKE IT that anyone would like.  David Coffee brings a W.C. Fields-esque pomposity to his hilarious interpretation of the clown, Touchstone.  He also excels in the abundant musical touches that adorn this production."

Punch Shaw,
- DFW.COM

"David Coffee provides much of the laughs as Touchstone, giving what is essentially a W.C. Fields impression, and his song and dance routine feels like a moment of genius."

Chris O'Rourke,
- TULSA THEATER EXAMINER

"Two of the greatest, and hardest, of all Shakespearean roles come off very well in this AS YOU LIKE IT.  David Coffee plays Touchstone, the court clown voluntarily banished to the country, as a less cynical W.C.Fields."

Lawson Taitte,
- DALLAS MORNING NEWS

"An absolutely masterful Shakespearean comic, as Touchstone in AYLI Coffee stands out in all his scenes perfectly punctuating the text with pauses, gestures, business, and cleverness.  His energy is infectious and one laughs just to see him enter on stage knowing something good will happen."

The Festival Swag

Also, for the first year, during the festival we had our first CAMP WILLY (Harry Parker's title)!
Here's the younger campers that delivered Hamlet's advice to the Players.

A big Thank You to Robert Krecklow who hosted our Company party in the Presidential Suite at the Marriott Blackstone Hotel with a terrace and view of downtown Fort Worth!

The Festival continues to grow in popularity and critical acclaim in its third year.  I couldn't be more proud than to be associated with the Trinity Shakespeare Festival!
