A Christmas Carol returns to North Shore Music Theatre!
Jon Kimbell greets the company on the first day of rehearsal.
The 2010 company!
The "reunion" group.

Opening night was amazing!  Mother and Patsy Reser came up from Texas...

...and Cathy Rigby and husband, Tom McCoy were there also!

Can you believe this Grandmother of 3 is going back on the road as Peter Pan?  Wow!

I also made a visit to the Fox News station for a morning promo.

What a pleasure to visit with our "honorary" spirit, Kim Carrigan.

What an amazing holiday season we had!  Such love and enthusiasm was overwhelming, and much appreciated.  It truly felt like we were able to deliver the best Christmas gift to our dear friends.
Thank you, Every one!

" On Dec. 3 the audience also gives much-loved actor David Coffee, playing Ebenezer Scrooge for the 17th time at the theater, a rousing welcome-back cheer.
When David Coffee first takes the stage as Scrooge, the audience goes wild with applause for him.  He also receives an ecstatic standing ovation at curtain call.
Coffee is so comfortable as Scrooge that he morphs into the character and you wonder if he'll be able to turn himself back into David Coffee after the show.  His subtle vocal touches, physical comedy, and alternatively menacing and poignant characterization are a joy to watch."
-Sally Applegate,
North Shore Sunday

"While (Ryan) Bates' Tiny Tim anchors the story with his narration,David Coffee, who has played Ebenezer Scrooge in 16 of the last 20 productions, delivers a charming and sympathetic miser.  Coffee's performance is decidedly low-key, smartly avoiding caricature, and managing to make even "bah-humbug" sound sincere.  After the appearance of his old partner, Jacob Marley (Tom Staggs, in a terrific bit of flying), Coffee makes us feel Scrooge's transformation is incremental, which turns each of the ghostly visits into effective building blocks and makes his change from bitterness to generosity on Christmas morning more believable."
-Terry Byrne,
Boston Globe

Did I mention that Scrooge is a TCU Horned Frog Fan?  My wig was "decorated" so I could celebrate TCU's unbeaten season culminating in an historic win at the Rose Bowl.  This photo ran on TCU magazine's website.
